Before you buy a coop online
Everything Aussie chicken keepers ask us, answered in one place.
Will the coop be too small for my hens?
+
We list honest hen capacity on every coop, based on real-world space per bird (not the inflated numbers you see elsewhere). If you're unsure, use our Coop Size Finder and we'll match you with the right size for your flock and backyard.
Is it hard to assemble?
+
No. Every Coopwell coop arrives flat-packed with clear step-by-step instructions, numbered parts, and all hardware included. Most customers finish assembly in 2 to 4 hours with a basic screwdriver and a second pair of hands.
Will it handle Australian weather?
+
Yes. Our coops are built from quality treated timber with a weatherproof roof, sealed joints and rust-resistant hardware. They're designed to handle Aussie sun, wind and rain all year round.
Is it predator-resistant?
+
Yes. Coops come with strong galvanised wire mesh, lockable nesting boxes, and secure latches to keep foxes, snakes and other predators out, day and night.
What if a part arrives damaged or missing?
+
We've got you covered. Just send us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we'll ship a replacement part fast, free of charge. No forms, no hassle.
How long does delivery take and is it really free?
+
Yes, delivery is free Australia-wide. Orders arrive in 2 to 5 business days (1 day processing + 2 to 4 days transit). You'll get tracking as soon as it leaves the warehouse.
What's your return policy?
+
You have 14 days from delivery to return any unused coop in its original packaging for a refund. If something's wrong with your coop, contact us first, we usually sort it out with a replacement part or full replacement.
Do you offer a warranty?
+
Every Coopwell coop comes with a 12-month warranty covering manufacturing defects and structural issues. We stand behind every coop we ship.
How many hens should I get?
+
Most Aussie families start with 3 to 4 hens, enough for a steady supply of fresh eggs without overwhelming a small backyard. Check local council rules in your area before ordering.
Can I speak to someone before I buy?
+
Of course. Our Aussie support team is available Monday to Friday by email at contact@aussiecoopwell.com. We're happy to help you pick the right coop.
